Fiona & Peter

Fiona and Peter were getting married in a civil ceremony in Dunfermline and were looking for a venue for a smaller wedding lunch afterwards.

They chose the country house hotel setting of Keavil House Hotel and selected hotel’s Club Room as their private dining room. Reception drinks of Prosecco and canapes were taken on the hotel terrace overlooking the gardens.

The Club Room was set out with one large dining table for 24 guests which was decorated with flowers from the hotel gardens and because their numbers were smaller, they were able to offer their guests a choice menu.  This was an intimate wedding celebration without a larger party of additional guests and Keavil House fitted their needs perfectly.

Catherine & Greig

Catherine and Greig wanted a small, intimate ceremony in the hotel for 30 guests followed by a celebratory lunch.

The hotel’s Wedgewood Room with its spectacular rococo vaulted ceiling was perfect for the wedding ceremony which was undertaken by a registrar sourced by the hotel.

After the ceremony, the 30 guests went to the hotel lounge for reception drinks and canapes and as the lounge opens up to the hotel orangery with doors onto the terrace and garden, guests were able to enjoy the gardens.

After reception drinks, Catherine and Greig and their guests made their way to the Botanist Restaurant which overlooks the gardens, for their private wedding lunch.

Alison & Paul

Alison & Paul wanted to both get married at the hotel and host their wedding reception. It was a spring wedding so the ceremony chairs and red carpet were laid out in the garden next to the cherry blossom tree which was in full bloom. The sun was shining down on the beautiful landscaped gardens. Shortly after the ceremony concluded, guests were welcomed with canapes and reception drinks.

The couple and their photographer then went off exploring the grounds for some unusual pictures. The guests then moved into the elegant Mountbatten Suite, which is flooded with natural light and has doors opening out onto the lawns. Alison & Paul chose a fresh spring colour theme which looked stunning.

Colourful spring flowers and centre pieces finished off the look perfectly. After the speeches, guests enjoyed their wedding lunch before the additional guests arrived to join the celebrations in the evening, with live music that kept the dance floor full until the early hours.

Julie & Andrew

Julie and Andrew had 150 guests for their wedding lunch and had invited another 50 guests to the evening reception. The Elgin Suite was ideal for their wedding reception. The sun was out and the gardens were in full bloom so on arrival, Julie and John and their family party welcomed their guests on the hotel lawn with reception drinks and canapes.

After the initial welcome, Julie and John and the principal family guests had photographs taken in the garden which resulted in some spectacular wedding photography. They even had a drone flying above catching all the activity in the gardens.

After the garden reception, all guests moved into the beautiful tented ceiling Elgin Suite for their wedding lunch and the speech formalities. Soon it was time to welcome their evening guests with a glass of bubby before the band struck up for an evening of dancing, celebrations and an evening buffet.
